Eight Arrested on Drug-related Charges

On Sept. 11, the Searcy Police Department and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force arrested 32 year-old Johnny Atwood of Jacksonville, Ark., for possession of controlled substance namely methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, fleeing and resisting arrest.  Atwood was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $6,000.

On Sept. 17, the Searcy Police Department and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force arrested 28 year-old Eddie Green of Searcy for possession of controlled substance without a prescription.  Green was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $50,000.

On Sept. 18, the Searcy Police Department and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force arrested 33 year-old Michael Timberlake of Judsonia, Ark., for possession of controlled substance without a prescription.  Timberlake was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $20,000.

On Sept. 27, the Searcy Police Department and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 1300 East Moore Street.  Arrested was 61 year-old Robert Bledsoe of Searcy for possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, specifically, crack cocaine.  Bledsoe was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $50,000.

On Oct. 4, the Searcy Police Department and the Central Arkansas Drug Task Force conducted an undercover sting operation.  Arrested was 36 year-old Amy Shipley of McRae, Ark., for delivery of controlled substance, specifically, methamphetamine, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Shipley was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $40,000.

On Nov. 13, the Searcy Police Department, Central Arkansas Drug Task Force, and the White County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24 year-old Jason Carter and 21 year-old Brittany Rodgers of Searcy.  Carter was charged with maintaining a drug premises, possession of controlled substance, specifically, marijuana, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, namely, methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of firearms by certain person, use of a communication facility, and endangering the welfare of a minor.  Rodgers was charged with maintaining a drug premises, possession of controlled substance, possession of controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, use of a communication facility, and endangering the welfare of a minor. Both suspects were transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where Carter’s bond was set at $75,000 and Rodgers’ bond was set at $15,000.

On Nov. 18, the Searcy Police Department, Central Arkansas Drug Task Force, White County Sheriff’s Department, and the Arkansas State Police conducted an undercover operation that resulted in the arrest of 21 year-old Daniel Bailey of Russell, Ark.  Bailey was charged with delivery of a counterfeit substance.  Bailey was transported to the White County Law Enforcement Center where bond was set at $50,000.
