Arkansas Educators want to establish a new, stronger code of ethics. The State Board of Education is scheduled to vote on a proposal today which would, among other things, require educators to maintain professional relationships with students and ban the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco at all school sponsored events.

The return to the ethics code comes after some embarrassing events involving teachers in Arkansas among them; two alcohol related arrests involving two different teachers in Springdale, AR last month.
