Flood Gates Not Opening at Greers Ferry
Recent media reports out of Little Rock saying Greers Ferry Lake would be opening the flood gates are simply not true. Jed Hollan at the Little Red Fly Shop, who is always on top of these things, says there are no plans to open the flood gates in the near future and both the lake and the Little Red River are ready and open for business.
Hollan says while lake levels are high, only a significant rain event could cause a change in the Corps water release schedule over the coming weeks.
