Beebe Says He Will Finally Call The Special Session
After much debate and hand-wringing, its’ official. Governor Beebe has called a special session for a vote on the natural gas severance tax. The announcement was finally made yesterday. Members of the State House and Senate will meet Monday and are expected to stay in session for about three days. Aside from a vote on the tax, legislators also plan to repeal a state law mistakenly added last year that removed the minimum age for minors to marry with parental consent.
