The Searcy Fire Department is proud to offer a variety of programs that deal with public education and fire prevention.  Our programs include, but are not limited to:

Fire Safety Talks
We at the Searcy Fire Department are very proud to visit our local schools, churches, civic groups, and other organizations to discuss the many aspects of fire safety.

Fire Extinguisher Demonstrations
Fire department personnel will go to our local businesses and organizations to give instruction on the types of fire extinguishers and their uses.  Our personnel will provide each individual with a live fire training exercise, which will be demonstrated with our state-of-the-art fire extinguisher training system.

Fire Safety Smoke House
Searcy Fire Department personnel have a strong desire to teach our youth the great importance of fire and life safety.  During Fire Prevention Week in October, our personnel set up the smoke house and demonstrate the steps in making a safe departure from a burning structure.  Overwhelming success has been gained through this program; in turn, allowing us to extend the program into two weeks.  During the last few years, we have succeeded in sending over 3,000 children per year through the smoke house.  We at the Searcy Fire Department are extremely grateful for this valuable tool and for the positive feedback we have received concerning this program.
