The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department is scheduled to begin road construction tomorrow, August 2, in Searcy. 

Road crews are expected to begin construction on Race Avenue between Main Street and Spring Street, as well as, Main Street between Race Avenue and Beebe Capps Expressway. 

Due to expected delays and heavy construction equipment being used, officials are asking drivers to please avoid these areas if possible.
