Location, Time Changed for HU Football against SAU The start time and location of Harding football's game against Southern Arkansas on Oct. 6 has changed. The game has been moved to El Dorado, Ark., will begin at 1:30 p.m., and will be this season's edition of the Boomtown Classic. The Boomtown Classic is typically played in El Dorado between Southern Arkansas and Arkansas-Monticello, but due to a scheduling conflict Harding agreed to fill in this season. The game, which was originally to be played at Southern Arkansas in Magnolia, will be played at El Dorado High School's Memorial Stadium, a 6,000-seat venue that features a synthetic turf field and video scoreboard. It will only be the third time in program history that Harding football has played a regular season neutral site game. In 1993, Harding played Ouachita Baptist at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark., and in 1997, Harding played Arkansas Tech in Alma, Ark., during a time when Tech's stadium was under construction. The Bisons won both games. By Scott Goode (HU Sports Information) |
