Congratulations to Austin Allen for being selected as the "Player of the Week"!

Allen, 14, plays for the Searcy Heat and Air Dixie League baseball team and was nominated by head coach Ben Graul.

"In his last game Austin pitched a 5 inning no hitter with 14 strikeouts and no walks," he said. "In addition, he has 75 strikeouts through 6 games and has given up only one earned run this season.

He is a player that the team looks to in times of need. Although I believe he has six amazing games under his belt this year, to talk to him, you wouldn't know he has accomplished such large feats.

He has excelled with a humble attitude and hard work ethic and behaves in a way that I believe a talented Christian young man should. I am so proud of him."
