HU Men's Golf Moves Up to Fourth after Round 2 at GAC Championship

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Harding men's golf shot 304 in round two of the Great American Conference Championship on Monday and jumped to fourth in the tournament standings.

Harding shot 308 in Sunday's first round and was in fifth place. The Bisons moved ahead of East Central with their two-round total of 612. East Central is fifth at 615.

Southwestern Oklahoma State leads the tournament at 592, 11 strokes ahead of second-place Arkansas Tech at 603. Henderson State is third at 607.

Harding's top golfer is freshman Brandon Clark, who is sixth after shooting 74-75--149. Sophomore Jordan Perry is tied for 10th at 152. The Bisons' lowest score in round two came from freshman Nathan Kannenberg, who shot 2-over 74. His score was 13 strokes better than his round one 87 and leaves him tied for 32nd at 161.

Matt Jennings of Henderson State leads the tournament. He is 2-under at 142 and is three strokes ahead of Arkansas Tech's Jack Garrett.
The final round will be Tuesday at the Hot Springs Country Club.
