DANVILLE, Ark. – Harding men's golf shot its second-best round of the season in round two of the David Falconer Memorial on Tuesday at Chamberlyne Country Club and placed sixth of 14 teams in the tournament.

Harding was in seventh after shooting 302 in round one but bouncing back with a 292 in round two for a 594 total. The Bisons' score was the second-best team score in the second round. The 594 total was the second time this season that the Bisons came in under 600.

Harding's success came primarily on par 3s and par 5s. The Bisons were second in the tournament in par-3 scoring at 9-over and tied for second in par-5 scoring at 8-under. Harding was also one of only three teams that had two eagles in the event.

Northeastern State won the team event at 579, one stroke better than second-place Lindenwood. East Central's Dakota Robbins was the individual medalist after shooting 2-under 142 and winning a three-person playoff on the second hole.

Harding's top finisher was freshman Nathan Kannenberg, who tied for 17th at a career-best 148. Kannenberg, who had one of Harding's two eagles, shot 1-under 71 in round two, his best round of the season and first under-par round of his collegiate career.

Junior Ryan Hadash and sophomore Jordan Perry tied for 21st at 149. Perry had the other Harding eagle and played the par 5s at 5-under, tied for the best mark in the tournament.

Freshman Brandon Clark tied for 25th at 150. Clark tied for third in par-3 scoring at even par and led Harding with 23 pars.

Sophomore Lucas Collins shot a career-best 152 and tied for 33rd.

The Bisons will next play April 2-3 at Golf Ranch in Texarkana, Ark., in a tournament hosted by Southern Arkansas University.
