Barefoot Sunday to provide shoes to African Families
Feb 23, 2012

On Sunday, April 1, Watermark Church will come together for a Missions Centered Service entitled "Barefoot Sunday".

Instead of wearing shoes, the goal is that each person will purchase new shoes representing each member of their family (same gender, same size, etc). Upon arriving at church they will place the shoes into a drop box, where the shoes will be shipped to Swaziland and Mozambique, Africa.

Barefoot Sunday has the goal of getting people to connect with another country without ever leaving the city. This is a missions project that, if successful, will put shoes on 150 people in both Swaziland and Mozambique... 75 pair at each location.

The goal is that people will make a connection to life without shoes, a reality check of how "blessed" and affluent our country is, and catch a glimpse of practical theology... loving people. For more information about Barefoot Sunday or Watermark Church visit WatermarkSearcy.com.
