Harding University’s Distinguished Lecture Series continues with nationally syndicated columnist SEARCY, Ark.— The 2011-12 American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series continues at Harding University on Thursday, Feb. 2 with nationally syndicated columnist Dr. Victor Hanson at 7:30 p.m. in the Benson Auditorium. Hanson writes a weekly column for National Review Online and serves on the editorial board of Military History Quarterly and City Journal. He is the author of hundreds of articles, book reviews, scholarly papers and newspaper editorials on subjects including ancient Greek, agrarian and military history, foreign affairs, domestic politics, and contemporary culture. Hanson has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times and others, and has appeared on Fox News, CNN, National Public Radio and C-Span’s “Book TV” and “In-Depth.” Hanson’s topic will be “Defending America Here and Abroad.” This presentation is free and open to the public.
