Home Care

True to our mission to provide the resources necessary to help older adults live independently and with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible, the White River Area Agency on Aging provides a number of in-home services.

Personal Care

WRAAA provides personal home care for the disabled or elderly under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Our Certified Home Care Assistants offer one-on-one assistance with basic daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Access to transportation for errands like shopping and doctors’ appointments is also available.

Medicaid recipients and veterans who meet certain medical criteria are eligible to receive this service at no cost. This service is also available on a private pay basis to non-Medicaid eligible individuals; and it may be covered by some long term care insurance policies and a Medicaid waiver as well.
