A Unique Birthday
Jan 14, 2011
Numbers can be cool and for newborn Abigail Grace Johnson, her birth date and time are exceptionally memorable. Abigail Grace, or Abby for short, was born at White County Medical Center at precisely 11:11 a.m. on 1-11-11.

Parents Michael and Stephanie Johnson were surprised to meet their new baby at 11:11 a.m. on the dot; however, that was not the only surprise. “We are still in shock that we have a girl,” Stephanie said. “All this time we thought it was a boy. Now, we have a healthy, beautiful baby girl.”

Abby is the eighth child in the Johnson family, and her older siblings range in age from 2- to 16-years-old. The crew is made up of five girls, including Abby, and three boys. The entire family was expecting to meet Logan Scott, the name Michael and Stephanie had picked out for a son.

“We bought a few new blue outfits for our baby and planned to use hand-me-downs from our 2-year-old son,” Stephanie said. “Michael went out and bought a new outfit for Abby, just so she would have something pink to wear home from the hospital!”

Obstetrician Jerry Burns, M.D., delivered Abby at 11:11 a.m..; she weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long.
