Main Street Searcy is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s Get Down Downtown festival on September 24 and 25.

As this year’s Get Down Downtown festival is fast approaching, the planning committee is looking for additional volunteers to help during the festival weekend.  According to Amy Burton, Main Street Searcy’s executive director, “We rely on more than 100 volunteers to help with the soft drink and T-shirt stands, volunteer check-in location, stage areas, road barricades, children’s activities, etc.  Several volunteers from the past two years have already signed on to help again this year, but as our festival grows we’re always looking for additional people to help.”

Get Down Downtown is a free-admission, fun-filled, family event featuring musicians, artists, and vendors from throughout the Mid-South. The event will take place September 24 and 25 in the downtown and Spring Park areas of the Main Street district.
