Searcy will be A ‘glow this Holiday Season. Take a carriage ride in the magical setting of dazzlingly adorned Berryhill Park, the largest of our four city parks. Each of our parks has been transformed into a delightful wonderland of twinkling lights. Stroll through the beautifully ornamented Main Street District, around the White County Court House. Our Christmas lights will burn brightly from November 28th through January 1st. Our Christmas season begins with the Holiday of Lights Pageant, which will take place on November 14th at the Lightle Center, with rehearsal on the 13th. On December 5th, you can complement your Christmas shopping by visiting the Carmichael Community Center for the Holiday Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crafts and goodies. Then at 6 p.m., come to downtown Searcy for our annual Holiday of Lights Christmas Parade. The parade begins at Spring Park, will circle around the Court Square onto Race Street ending at Berryhill Park. Come and experience the birth of Jesus at “The Living Nativity” at Searcy First Assembly of God on the corner of Benton and Cloverdale. This adventure will take you back in time to experience first-hand the birth of our Savior. The fourth annual Living Nativity features live animals and professionally crafted scenery to provide a memorable Christmas experience. Admission is free and donations are welcome. The drive-through “Living Nativity” will take place December 3rd - 6th and 10th - 13th from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. For more information visit www.livenativity.com. From December 2-20, you can also enjoy a meal and entertainment at the Center on the Square Dinner Theater.
