The Arkansas Highway Department has called a public meeting to discuss changes to Highway 16 north of Searcy.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday August 7th, from 4 to 7 at the Oak Grove Methodist Church on Highway 16.
The plan now is to add passing lanes (north and southbound) on a stretch of 16 somewhere between Pangburn and Searcy.
