Support Division

The Support Division strives to ensure the department’s resources are spent in the most efficient way possible. This division is also responsible for providing training along with building, vehicle, and equipment maintenance.

This is a high stress position that requires calm under pressure. The dispatch center is often the initial contact between the public and the police department, and generally the services provided begin when a dispatcher answers the telephone. The dispatch center is a vital link and has a significant impact on the quality of police services rendered.

The Animal Control Worker is a Code Enforcement Officer and is responsible for enforcing the Animal Code, municipal codes, ordinances or regulations involving animal incidents or offenses occurring within the City of Searcy, Arkansas.
