Network Backbone - The City of Searcy has a state-of-the-art computer network featuring fiber connections to all city department buildings. The fiber was put in place in the summer of 2007 to support the present and future needs of the city.
Network Operations Center (NOC) - The NOC at the City of Searcy has redundant power, raised floors, redundant cooling systems, 24 hour protected access, 24 hour remote monitoring and is located in a concrete reinforced structure to withstand disaster.
Server Farm - The City server farm consists of seven main enterprise servers running Windows 2003 Server/Advanced Server. The server farm is complemented by a SAN Disk Array with a current capacity of 2.3 Terabytes of online data storage with fully automated daily backups.
Desktop Environment - City desktops are equipped with Windows 2000 or Windows XP with standard office productivity software, specialized task enterprise software, and constantly updated security and virus protection as well as remote monitoring and assistance capabilities.
Voice over IP Telephony - The City of Searcy runs a Cisco Enterprise IP Telephony system to provide over 130 desktop telephones, voicemail, and unified messenging to all city users while reducing telephone expenditures by half of the previous requirement.
