Since its inception as a private, Christian, liberal arts institution in 1924, Harding University has aimed to provide students with a quality education that leads to an understanding and philosophy of life consistent with Christian ideals.

This dedication to the integration of faith, learning and living has made Harding a pacesetter among private, Christian schools. Currently, the University is home to more than 6,500 well-prepared individuals from high schools and home schools all across the United States and more than 50 foreign nations.

Faculty members are committed to excellence in scholarship, service, and their role as models of Christian living. They encourage the pursuit of truth and high academic achievement and provide hands-on opportunities for students to experience business, music, art, language, science, drama and communication. Seven international campuses in Africa, Australia, Europe and South America combine historical value with present-day views to offer students a truly global education.

The University community encourages students to serve others and provides sponsorship and support for numerous projects, including evangelistic and medical missions, disaster relief, and aid to the disadvantaged.

Harding students, provided with a Christian perspective through which to appreciate various disciplines, excel as scholars and leaders. As a result, University alumni display character, conviction and a competitive edge and are prepared for success at prestigious graduate schools and companies throughout the nation.

The University comprises eight colleges: Arts and Humanities, Bible and Religion, Business Administration, Communication, Education, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Sciences. Students may choose from 10 undergraduate degrees in more than 90 majors. Graduate and professional programs include pharmacy, physician assistant studies, business administration, education, counseling, communication sciences and disorders, marriage and family therapy, and ministry.
