Arkansas People First is a Self Advocacy Organization that is for People with Disabilities, that is run by People with Disablilites.

 The Arkansas People First Cliff Fortner Chapter of Searcy is one of the local People First Chapters that we have in Arkansas. We usually meet the last Friday of the month in the Community Room of the Simmons First Bank on Main Street in Searcy. If the community room is not available then we will usually meet at the White County Men's Group Home.

The Searcy Chpater was started in September of 2007. Joel Fuller is the current Chapter President, Mike Brown is currently the Vice President, Jessica Corrnett is currently the Secretary and Debbie Stimbo is currently the Treasurer.

 Arkansas People First is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization. So your donations are tax deductible under IRS guidelines.

It would be best to call, Joel Fuller, the Chapter President each month, instead of just showing up for the meeting, so that you can find out for sure where the meeting will be at. Also in Arkansas People First, we do a training called Reaching My Own Greatness, it can be done as a in service training for teachers and staff of group homes and the Sunshine School, etc. Call Joel Fuller, the Chapter President, as Joel is a one of the certified ROMG trainers in the Searcy APF Chapter.
